Day 25 : Photo a day May

Day 25 : unusual. This was one I wasn't so sure about so, when in doubt, use Marmie! He is such a strange cat who I love, so I decided to take another photograph of him. He likes to sleep in a tray my mum bought at Christmas time. It's about half the size of him and he's slept in it since he was only a kitten and apparently he believes he's still that small.

Day 24 : Photo a day May

Day 24 : something new. I wasn't sure what to do for this. I was going shopping in town that night and thought that I would take a photograph of something new I bought. After thinking about it I realised it was mostly toiletries I would be buying for going away on holiday on Wednesday and that didn't seem very interesting. I choose to take a photograph of me since I got my hair done that day and go my fringe cut back in and my blonde highlights back.

Day 23 : Photo a day May

Day 23 : technology. I thought about doing a collective piece of all different types of technology I had, such as my laptops, cameras, iPod and phone, but I decided instead to focus on one thing. I choose my canon 550D because I love how it looks and it's my favourite camera.

Day 22 : Photo a day May

Day 22 : pink. The Mayfair was in town this week so I decided to take a walk through and see if I saw something to photograph. I was thinking along the lines of one of the amusements, but I saw a food stall with bags of candy floss hanging down and decided I liked it better.

Coming soon - Lush review on the Jungle solid conditioner bar

Last week I purchased the Jungle conditioner bar to try out. I hadn't known that they had a solid conditioner bar so as soon as I saw online that they did, I knew I had to try it. I used it for the first time tonight and so far, so good. Will put a review up in the next few days after I see what it's like properly.

Day 21 : Photo a day May

Day 21 : where you stand. When I saw today's photo my first thought was the general 'where you stand with someone'. I decided I was going to do the more literal version of where I stand, which was the ground outside.

Day 20 : Photo a day May

Day 20 : something you can't live without. He seems to be taking up a lot of these, and my iPhone photo album in general, but something I can't live without is Marmie. I love him so much and will miss him loads when I'm away on holiday next week. He's such a weird and lovely cat who seems to think he's a dog or a tiger sometimes.

Day 19 : Photo a day May

Day 19 : a favourite place. Without a doubt, my favourite place (in this country) is definitely my bed. I hate leaving it in the morning and getting in at night is my favourite.

Day 18 : Photo a day May

Day 18 : something you made. Today's photo was of something you made. I saw that a lot of people done food they had made, but considering I made nothing but a pot noodle today, I decided against that. Instead I found this in my drawer of when I had joined in with the girls at GB to stick some wool onto a hedgehog template. The arts and crafts is my favourite part of the night and I love when there's extra supplies so I can join in.

Day 17 : Photo a day May

Day 17 : snack. Today's photo was snack so I decided to raid my box of goodies in my room to see I would like to have as a snack for today. I eventually decided on this mint aero lamb that I got with one of my easter eggs.

Day 16 : Photo a day May

Day 16 : what you're reading. I'm currently reading the hunger games series. I started reading the first book the day before the film came out and then after seeing it never quite got on to the second book, even though it's a really good series!

New shoes!

Finally got the shoes that I posted about a month ago from office. I'd been wanting them since then and kept looking at them online to make sure I definitely wanted to spend the £55 on them. I bought them today and I'm now considering buying them in black as they are so comfy and don't feel like you're wearing heels in the slightest and I can actually walk in them normally. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new pair of wedges/sandals for the summer!

Day 14 : Photo a day May

Day 14 : grass. Today's photo is grass so I decided to take a basic Birdseye view of grass since it was raining all day and the grass was flat and soaking and I couldn't do much with it.

Day 15 : Photo a day May

Day 15 : love. Instead of doing the typical love between couples that most people would do for this photograph, I decided instead I would rather do my love for material things, handbags. They're my favourite thing :)

Day 13 : Photo a day May

Day 13 : mum. Today's photo was mum so I decided to take a photograph of a Polaroid I took a few months ago of her before she went out for a formal dinner. I love my mum more than anyone else and I love this photo of her :)

Day 12 : Photo a day May

Day 12 : something that makes you happy. Marmie! He makes me happy and I love him so much.

Day 11 : Photo a day May

Day 11 : kitchen. Today's photo was the word kitchen. I wasn't sure which part of the kitchen to take a photograph of as ours is quite big and I wouldn't have been able to fit it all in. I decided on this part as it contained the most kitchen utensils and I liked how the light shone on them.

Lush - Jumping Juniper Shampoo Bar Review

I bought this soap in February thinking that my first bar would be done around then and that I would have my second one ready. It actually lasted far longer than expected so I only started using this new bar about 2 weeks ago. I decided to use it a few times before I wrote on a review on it so that I knew what it was like.

It works exactly the same as the first shampoo bar I used. You simply run your hair under some water, rub the bar into your head a few times and it will lather up quickly. Rub the lather into your head and then rinse out. I have washed my hair twice with it a few times because my friend said that shampooing your hair twice makes your hair far cleaner, and it definitely does. However, I am only reviewing a single use of this shampoo bar. I was amazed after only one use of this bar at how clean it left my hair. It's specifically for greasy hair and I tend to wash my hair every other day so I thought this would let that clean feeling last longer, and it does. After washing and conditioning my hair and then drying it, it feels like all the build up has left my hair and it feels really light and clean. It also smells delicious, it's a very fresh, lemony smell.

Pros :

  • Inexpensive, only £5 and lasts around 3 months.
  • Refreshing smell.
  • Equivalent to 3 x 200ml bottles of shampoo.
  • Works very well for getting an extra day out of greasy hair.
Cons :

  • Zero, I can honestly find no wrong in these shampoo bars!
I absolutely adore these shampoo bars and will continue buying them for a long time as they are far, far better than bottles of shampoo. In comparison with my first one, the Karma Komba bar, I can't decide which I like better. I love the Karma scent in Lush which draws me to that one, but the Jumping Juniper bar leaves my hair feeling the cleanest.

I will hopefully be buying a conditioner bar from Lush this week to try out so I'll let you all know how that goes!

Day 10 : Photo a day May

Day 10 : a favourite word. I wasn't really sure what to choose for this but in the end I settled for Christmas. One of my most favourite times of the year so obviously it would be one of my favourite words!

Day 9 : Photo a day May

Day 9 : something you do everyday. Go online on my laptop! Really couldn't live without Internet access and I would say I use my laptop every single day, especially YouTube!

Day 8 : Photo a day May

Day 8 : a smell you adore. I was thinking about choosing a perfume for this photo, daisy eau so fresh by Marc Jacobs, but then as I was about to take the photo I realised I love all my candles. I have a few that I've bought from Bath & Bodyworks that smell absolutely amazing. I'm hoping to buy a few more minis while I'm away again since they aren't too heavy.

Day 7 : Photo a day May

Day 7 : someone that inspires you. Today's photo was someone who inspires you. I thought long and hard about this and the person who kept popping up was Claire, the owner of Lily Pink Bakery. She done the same degree at university as me and has successfully created her own cupcake business and I find her very inspiring and she is the reason that I felt motivated to start this blog.

Day 6 : Photo a day May

Day 6 : you. Yesterday's photograph was 'you' so I decided just to take a mirror shot.

Saturday, 5 May 2012

Day 5 : Photo a day May

Day 5 : bird. Today's photo was bird. I had originally thought of getting a photo of birds in my back garden, but after going out for a walk I decided it would be ducks instead.

Day 4 : Photo a day May

Day 4 : fun. Today's photograph was of fun. My cat spends a lot of time doing very strange things and I thoroughly enjoy watching him. This evening he lay in the bath and watched the water drip from the tap and tried to catch them.

Day 3 : Photo a day May

Day 3 : something you wore today. So day 3 was of something I wore today and since I was at a wedding this was very convenient!

Day 2 : Photo a day May

Day 2 : skyline. This was the skyline of LA that I had taken a photograph of in November when I had my trip to California.

Day 1 : Photo a day May

I started doing this on the first of may and I'm just realising I should have put it on my blog as well. It's only a few days in so I thought I would just add them in anyway :)

Day 1 : peace. This was taken whilst driving home. The sky looked really pretty and peaceful so I decided totals a photograph of it.

Coming soon - Lush Jumping Juniper Solid Shampoo Bar Review!

Since I finished my Karma Komba shampoo bar at the end of last week/start of this week I have moved on to a new one. I bought this one about a month or two ago because I didn't realise just how long my first one was going to last me (still can't believe it!). I had looked up a few reviews and checked the signs in store to see which one would be my next pick and decided to go with Jumping Juniper. I've used it twice now and really love it so I'll write a full review of it in a few days after I've seen what it's like with my hair.
