I ♡ Fall Tag

I've been watching all these videos on YouTube and I've been dying to do it myself so whenever I saw that the lovely Claire at J'adore had done it, I had to do it right away!

1. Favourite fall lip product?
I don't have anything in particular which I use every year, but at the moment I absolutely love my Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm. I carry it around with me every wear because my lips are permanently dry and chapped.

2. Favourite fall nail polish?
I am still absolutely loving my Essie Fun in the Gondola nail polish. It's been what I've wore all month, and I'm not ready to try anything else yet for a while! Usually I prefer darker colours in purple or navy, but I love this blush pink colour!

3. Favourite Starbucks fall drink?
I want to say hands down, Pumpkin Spice Latte, but after getting to try the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, we may have a bit of competition in this battle as it is delicious.

4. Favourite fall candle?
Toss up between Bath & Bodyworks Leaves and Pumpkin Caramel Latte. Why am I so indecisive with my Fall favourites? I can't seem to have just one! Both smell so good, I think if I could really only have one, I'd choose the second, I actually want to eat it.

5. Favourite fall scarf or accessory?
Scarves! I absolutely love the one I bought in Forever 21 last year and I wear it most days, I'm actually wearing it right now as I'm waiting to go into town to go and see the Belfast Giants (Ice Hockey), and it's freezing outside today! I also love wearing nice boots too.

6. Haunted house, haunted hay ride or haunted corn maze?
We don't have the last two, and I'm actually going to say none because I hate anything even remotely scary. If you've followed my blog for a while you'll know I'm pretty much afraid of my own shadow and convinced that someone is going to get me!

7. Favourite Halloween movie?
As I said above, nothing scary for me. My favourites are Hocus Pocus, Casper and The Nightmare Before Christmas (which I watched last night, and I still can't believe that some people haven't seen this movie!). TNBC is my transition film, going into Christmas movie season which starts on 1st November for me. So excited!

8. Favourite candy to eat on Halloween?
I don't think we really get anything special for Halloween, just the same sweets in different shapes. I quite like the little Nestle chocolate pumpkins that I've seen about this year.

9. What are you dressing up as for Halloween?
I haven't dressed up in years, as much as I'd love to. I can't decide what I'd be this year if I was going to dress up. I'd love to go all out and put lots of effort into planning every last detail of it though, I love seeing peoples costumes.

10. What is your favourite thing about fall?
Most definitely the colour changing, crunchy leaves. They are so pretty, and every morning I've woke up this Autumn and there's been lots of leaves on the ground, it's put me in such a good mood for the day. I also love getting all cosy at night with a blanket around me, watching a film, and eating some nice food with hot chocolate.

I tag everyone to do this. I love seeing other people's answers to these types of questions as it gives me new ideas of things to try.

Lush - Full Of Grace Moisturiser

I've been using this moisturiser for a while now and thought I should do a little review on it for you all. I've been looking for a good moisturiser for a while as I have quite dry skin, and I think this one is pretty good (although since I've discovered Celestial, there's a bit of competition).

Unlike the other moisturisers from Lush, Full of Grace comes in a bar form, which makes it a lot easier to travel with, if that's something you do often, and it's quite a small bar. I find it to be quite similar to the body butters which Lush also sell, as it starts to melt as soon as you hold it in your hand for only a few seconds. This is a good thing however, as it means once you rub it across your face, it melts very quickly so you aren't tugging on your skin.

Very easy to use, I just rub the bar over my face a few times until I feel like there's enough product on my skin, usually just over my cheeks and forehead. This leaves residue on your face, and I then just rub it in with my fingers across the rest of my face.

This product contains rose oil, so this gives it a really nice scent, and is also good if you suffer from redness as it has a calming effect.

I had originally decided on this moisturiser as I had heard it was good to use under the fresh face masks which Lush also sell, and it definitely benefits. If you apply this to your face first, and then apply the mask afterwards, it leaves your skin feeling super soft afterwards.

 Pros :
  • Lovely scent.
  • Helps restore dry skin.
  • Easy to use.
  • Lightweight, perfect for travel instead of carrying around tubs or bottles.
Cons :
  • Cost, at £7.95 for a small bar, this may be an issue for some people, but I think it lasts quite a long time, so it's worth the money.

Overall, I love this moisturiser and I've been using it for a good lot of months now.

Have you used any of Lush's moisturisers? If so, what has been your favourite?

New York Film List

I just posted a page on my blog with a New York film list, and I don't know if this comes up for everyone when they're looking at their latest blog posts, and I want everyone to see it so I just want to double check!

Anyway, I just posted a page with a list of films that are featured in New York. I've explained more on the page itself why I've done this, but I've asked for suggestions from you all so that I can watch them, so please let me know if there's more you can add to my list!

Also, can someone tell me how pages work? Do people only notice them if you go on to someones blog and look, or do they come up on your recently posted page?

September Favourites

I can't believe I'm even putting this up now, it's the 11th October! I really haven't been on properly in 2 weeks and I haven't kept on top of any posts from people who I love to read about. I'm such a bad blogger...I promise I'm back now though! I decided it was better late than never with my favourites, and my wish list will be up soon too...

In no particular at order at all, I'm going to start with one which is almost empty. I never use an eye make up remover ever, I just use the same remover for everything, but I got this in my LashStash collection from Sephora last year and finally decided to give it a go. It's Clinique's Take The Day Off and it's so good. It's really soft and gentle and takes my eye make up off so easily, without stinging my eyes which are quite sensitive.

Some MAC favourites of the month. I put up a post on the eyeshadow already (if you can remember back that far) and I've been using this pretty much everyday all through September and into October. It's the MAC Neo Nebula Mineralize Eye Shadow and you can read about it here.
A lipglass I've been loving is the MAC Tinted Lipglass in Cultured which is a lovely Mauve Pink which I've been pairing with my MAC Lipstick in Creme Cup. If you want me to put up some swatches of the lipglass I can do that for you all.

Some more lip products in my favourites this month, they really are my favourite type of make up...I've been loving the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms a lot recently. I read a lot of hype about them at the start of the year was dying to get my hands on some when I was away, and recently I've noticed just how good they are. I bought one in June and used it straight away, and I'm only coming to the end of it now, and I used it everyday, multiple times. They have a slight colour to them and are super moisturising, which I love.
Next is a Revlon Lip Butter in Red Velvet which is another one of my foreign purchases that I hadn't used it, but I'm glad I kept it until now as it is a perfect Fall/Autumn colour. Again, some swatches for that will be up this week, as I think it's the perfect colour and is quite inexpensive.

This is by no means new, as I have had this for quite a while, and more than one bottle. My favourite scent for the month of September was Black XS by Paco Rabanne. I loved this when I first was bought it, and I still love it now, almost 5 years later. I think it's probably one of my favourite perfumes. I would try to describe the scent, but with perfumes that's far too difficult!

Probably my ultimate favourite for the month is my Leaves candle from Bath & Bodyworks. I absolutely adore these candles and this has been lit in my room almost everyday since I received it. Now, as a lot of you will already know, these aren't available in the UK, so I was absolutely delighted when the very lovely Jessica from The Mod Mermaid kindly sent me some over. She sent me this along with the Pumpkin Caramel Latte 3 wick candle (probably to be included in my October favourites post) and two smaller ones, and also this sleeve as a surprise and an EOS lipbalm. How amazing is she!? You should definitely head over and check her blog out!

Little food favourite of the month, Ritz Crackers. I used to eat these all the time when I was younger and forgot a little how much I loved them. So good!

So, I'm very sorry that this took so long to come up, but it's here! I'm also very sorry that I haven't posted at all this month, and I should be resuming to full working order from now!
